Embrace Your Creativity

Another rainy day here in Texas, and yes, I had my "cuppa joy". One day we can talk about that. Hoping your day was joyful and creative. I hear many people say they would like to be more creative, but feel they don't possess that gift. I challenge that with every fiber within me. Everyone is creative, some just haven't found their outlet. If you have an imagination, you are creative. Have you ever taken time to sit on a grassy patch at the park and peered into the sky watching the fluffy white clouds float by? Only, you saw winged elephants, dragons on a pogo stick, cute little puppies, or a whale swimming by. Yes, I have seen these strange creatures in the sky. =) Just pure imagination at play. Actually, it is called Pareidolia; the phenomenon of recognizing patterns, shapes and familiar objects in a vague and sometimes random stimulus, according to Wikipedia. Everyone has heard of the Rorschach ink blots which are used in psychological testing to evaluate personality traits. Random splatter of ink, then you report what you see. This is something we soapmakers will often do. We go to great lengths to create beautiful and elaborate swirls and techniques for artistry. Often times, the soap just is. Meaning, it will be whatever it wants to be. Afterwards, we share our funny little soap pictures with each other in our online soap groups and play a social game that maybe only we appreciate. It is actually quite fun and you also might find it interesting. Want to play? I am going to share several pictures of recent soap made at the Studio. Hopefully, you will find them amusing and enjoy stretching your imagination.
What do you see? It appears to be having a good laugh. =)Ava says this one looks like butterflies dancing together. Can you see the traditional Chinese Dragon in this one?
This is the same as the one above, except turned onto the side. I see a lotus blossom, with beautiful swirls scrolling about.
What do you see? I am curious to know.
